hi! i actually went in to try Latisse but i can’t afford $120/month! then my salon suggested using Revitalash instead and i hope to get the same results. i’ve read reviews and they are as promising as they say. also, i’ve read and heard about the side effects of Latisse. really makes me think twice.

Okay girls, let me settle this once and for all… I have tried both Revitalash and Latisse. I used Revitalash when it first came out a couple of years ago and more recently, about a year ago. Reasonably priced and great results. About 4 months ago, I started using Latisse. My Sis n Law is a plastic surgeon and asked me to try a sample for her. My lashes look like the picture at the top of this blog posting. They have grown in every which direction and I can NOT get them straight—even with mascara. They’re a mess. I read that that’s one of the side effects of Latisse. I also have a brownish discoloration all around my eyes–kinda like I’m wearing a mask!!! I do hope it will go away when I start using the product. Now that I’ve had the opportunity to try both, I would skip the pricey Latisse and stick with what works (and has no nasty side effects).

Admittedly, if just that one word is eliminated, your comment does take on a while new meaning. And, if I could miss it, others might as well. Thanks kimlno… But, I do not think you understood my post. I do not use latisse because it is a DRUG with SIDE EFFECTS. I was simply stating there is a better alternative, Revitalash, to the drug. Please read more carefully next time. Thanks.

Thanks for your input, Angelica. I always welcome a variety of different points of view. It's good to know the product works for you and you've incurred no serious side effects. However, you DO need a prescription for Latisse. It is NOT a cosmetic, it is a DRUG tested and controlled by the FDA. Click HERE for the FDA Drug Details on Latisse. If your salon or spa is selling Latisse without a prescription, they are doing it illegally. Another route to circumvent the laws that exist for your safety regarding the use of this drug is purchasing Latisse, or its generic name Lumigan, via the internet. Because I hope that you will continue to read my blog for many years to come, I would hate to see you lose your eyesight due to vanity. Do yourself a favor and get a prescription. I am a consumer of all things beauty and have worked in the cosmetics industry for quite some time. I have been using Revitalash since it came out a couple years ago and have been very happy with my results. I can actually see a difference. I wanted to let others know that I have not experienced any of the side effects stated by latisse (although anything is possible) and the cost is much more reasonable. Not to mention it can be purchased through your salon/spa because it is strictly a cosmetic!!
